How We Choose Products
Last updated 2026-06-19
Gate 1: Real, Available Products
Every product on VisionHut must be a genuine, purchasable item sold by a verifiable retailer. We exclude concept products, discontinued listings with no available stock and products whose specs cannot be confirmed from the manufacturer or a major retailer. If we cannot verify that a product exists and can be bought, it does not appear on this site.
Gate 2: Verified Buyer Demand
A product must show meaningful real-world demand before it earns a place in our rankings. We measure this through verified review counts and reported monthly purchase data. Products with very few reviews or no purchase signal are excluded regardless of their specs or price, because thin demand means there is not enough owner experience to support a reliable ranking.
Gate 3: Rating of 3.8 Stars or Higher
We set a minimum average rating of 3.8 stars, based on verified buyer reviews, as a proxy for acceptable real-world satisfaction. Products rated below this threshold are excluded even if they otherwise meet the demand and brand criteria. This filter is applied at the category level and is not adjusted upward or downward based on price or brand name.
Gate 4: Real, Traceable Brand
A product must come from a brand with enough of a public track record to verify it as a real business, not an anonymous private-label import with no history. We check brand presence against multiple data sources. Brands that cannot be verified or that have patterns of fraudulent reviews are excluded. Products that pass all four gates are eligible for ranking, ordered by a combination of rating, review count, verified demand and how well the specs serve the stated use case.
